The University of Salerno announces the establishment of the XXXVI Cycle of the PhD Courses. The public competition for the admission to the following courses and departments are therefore open:

Admission requirements
The participation to the public competition is reserved to the applicants, who, within the specified deadline, hold the higher-education qualification described in the Annexed Table, or have obtained an equivalent qualification abroad, without any restriction of age and citizenship.
FIRST STEP
Registration on the application website
Italian and foreign applicants, who are not in possession of the access credentials, must register at the University intranet website, by following the procedure described below:
1. connect to the University intranet website: www.unisa.it; select the following link: SERVIZI ON LINE – SERVIZI PER STUDENTI - AREA UTENTE (ESSE3) to access the reserved area;
2. Once reached the reserved area, select from the menu on the right: "Registration" and fill in the application in all its parts. During the registration step, the applicant will be asked a personal e-mail address to use also in the case of password retrieval;
3. After the registration, applicants will receive "username" and "password", to be duly recorded, paying attention to the fact that they are case-sensitive. Applicants will need "username" and "password" to access the reserved area ("Login").
Applicants can access the online procedure from any computer equipped with an internet connection.
SECOND STEP
Enrollment to the competition
Application form + documents + administrative fee to participate in the competition
After the "registration" process, applicants must enrol in the competition by filling in the electronic application form, by uploading all the documents required for the evaluation of academic and scientific qualifications, as listed in the Annexed Table. To this purpose, applicants, through the University intranet website: www.unisa.it – servizi studenti on line – , will access their reserved area, by using "username" and "password" obtained with the registration.
In particular, the Applicant is required to:
1. Connect to the University intranet website: www.unisa.it ; select the following links: SERVIZI ON LINE – SERVIZI PER STUDENTI - AREA UTENTE (ESSE3) to access the reserved area;
2. Select from the menu on the left: "Login", and enter "username" and "password" in the window that will appear;
3. After accessing the reserved area, on the right of the new page, a list of items is shown; the Applicant has to select “Admission Test” and fill in the application form by following the instructions provided. The Applicant will be required, to complete the application, also of the identification data contained in their Passport or valid identification document. Please note that the identification document should be the same to be used for identification in the competition.
Please, note that for the data declared in the application form, you are subject to the
penalties in case of untruthful statements and use of false documents.
4 Having finished entering the required data, upload the documents required for the evaluation of academic and scientific qualifications listed in the Annexed Table in a single PDF file.
You cannot modify the Ph.D. Course selected at the registration in the public competition. If the applicants, after the application, intend to modify the choice already made, they should fill in a new application.
You cannot apply to different curricula of the same Ph.D. Course. Applicants are required to select only the curriculum, for which they intend to compete.
Registration for the competition must be completed and submitted no later than 23:59 pm (Italian time) of the 28th of August, 2020, be sure to have duly filled the electronic application form, loaded the documents required for the evaluation of academic and scientific qualifications (see Annexed Table). Therefore, the on-line procedure described for in this article will be closed without exception within the above-mentioned deadline.
In this regard, the Examination Committee will admit to the interview (or written test when required) only those candidates, who are included in the list of admitted by “Ufficio Formazione Post Laurea” and published in the University website: http://web.unisa.it/en/teaching/phd-programmes
Enrollment to Ph.D. Courses
The final ranking lists for the competitions to the different Ph.D. Courses will be published in the Official University Board at https://web.unisa.it/amministrazione�trasparente/albo. This publication will provide the official notification to the assignees of the Ph.D. positions, and, therefore, there will be no personal communications. The above-mentioned ranking lists will also be announced on the University website at http://web.unisa.it/en/teaching/phd-programmes
Tuition fees and benefits
All the Ph.D. students (with and without scholarship) are exempted from payment of tuition fees and must pay only the “Tassa Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario” and the “Imposta di Bollo”.
The amount of the “Tassa Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario” is determined by the University Administration.
The foreign Ph.D. students, who are the assignees of the Scholarship funded by the University and reserved to foreigners who have obtained a degree abroad, will benefit from free accommodation at University residences in Fisciano (SA), and a free meal per day at University canteen in Fisciano (SA), from the 1st of October to the 31st of July of each year.
Please note that this benefit does not apply to the foreign Ph.D. students, who are the assignees of regular scholarships funded by the University or through departmental resources.
So, this is kind of fully funded and partial scholarships, because all students will get free tuition fee, but not all of them will get free dormintory and meal.
