The Islamic University of Madinah was founded in 1381 H, is one of the public universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) under the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education. The Islamic University of Madinah is an international standard Islamic education institution owned by KSA. This university gives scholarships annually for international students from across the world to come and study Arabic preparation or directly to a bachelor degree if the student already has enough Arabic skill to catch the lesson.

Currently, the Islamic University of Madinah has nine (9) faculties:
1- Faculty of Sharia (Islamic Law)
This faculty aims to deepen the Science of Jurisprudence and Ushul Fiqh, as well as to master various Shari'ah and its supporting sciences. Within this faculty there are the following departments:
A. Department of Jurisprudence
B. Department of Ushul Fiqh
C. Department of Islamic Economics
The Faculty of Sharia offers undergraduate degrees in Sharia Science, master degrees and doctoral degrees in existing disciplines.
2- Faculty of Da'wah and Ushuluddin
This faculty aims to deepen Islamic Aqeedah and master various shari'ah sciences and their supporting sciences. Within the faculty there are the following departments:
A. Department of Aqeedah
B. Department of Da'wah and Islamic Culture
C. Department of Islamic History
D. Department of Education
This faculty offers a bachelor's degree for da'wah and ushuluddin majors, a higher diploma for da'wah major, a master's degree, and a doctorate degree in existing disciplines.
3- Faculty of Al-Qur'an and Islamic Studies
This faculty aims to deepen the Al-Qur'an and the sciences of the Koran, both in memorization and interpretation, as well as mastering the various Shari'ah sciences and their supporting sciences. Within this faculty there are the following departments:
A. Department of Qira'at (Reciting of Qur'an)
B. Department of Qur'anic Interpretation and Science
The faculty offers undergraduate degrees in Qur'anic Science, master degrees and doctorate degrees in existing disciplines.
4- Faculty of Hadith and Islamic Studies
This faculty aims to deepen the Hadith and its sciences, along with mastery of the Shari'ah sciences and their supporting sciences. Within this faculty there are the following departments:
A. Department of Fiqh Sunnah
B. Department of Hadith Science
The faculty offers undergraduate degrees in the Department of Hadith and Islamic Studies, master degrees and doctorate degrees in existing disciplines.

5- Faculty of Arabic Language
This faculty aims to deepen the Arabic language, its sciences, and literature, along with mastery of various Shari'ah sciences and their supporting sciences. Within this faculty there are the following departments:
A. Department of Linguistics
B. Department of Literature and Balaghah
C. Department of Media and Communication
The faculty offers bachelor degrees in Arabic, master degrees and doctorate degrees in existing disciplines.
6- Faculty of Law and Judicial Studies
In this faculty there are the following departments:
A. Department of Law
B. Department of Justice Studies
The faculty offers undergraduate degrees, master degrees and doctorate degrees in existing disciplines.
* For the undergraduate level there are no majors, undergraduate students will study general course materials according to the faculty. To enter the postgraduate level, another test will be held according to the choice of majors.

A. Department of Electrical Engineering
B. Department of Mechanical Engineering

8- Faculty of Science
In this faculty there are the following departments:
A. Department of Mathematics
B. Department of Chemistry
C. Department of Physics
9- Faculty of Computers and Information Systems
In this faculty there are the following departments:
A. Department of Computer Science
B. Department of Information Systems
C. Department of Information Engineering
These 3 faculties require the additional following requirements:
• Senior High School diploma specializing in science or equivalent
• TOEFL certificate with a minimum score of 451 points or its equivalent
• ICDL computer skills certificate or equivalent
The Islamic University of Madinah also oversees the Arabic Language Learning Program (Ma'had Lughoh) for those who are not yet able to speak Arabic and want to enter the first 6 faculties and English preparation as well as basic science (Sanah Tahdiriyyah) for those who want to enter the last 3 faculties.
The scholarships opportunity for students from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia only available for Language Preparation or Bachelor degree. Only international students already in KSA who can apply for the Master and Doctor degree.

Scholarship Facilities
Scholarship recipients are entitled to the following facilities:
1. Air tickets upon accepted at the university and at the end of each academic year, in accordance with applicable regulations.
2. Mukafa'ah (living allowance) every month.
3. Cash prizes for students who excel.
4. Free dormitories and furnishings.
5. Eat at the university cafeteria at a low cost.
6. Health Services at the University Hospital.
7. Transportation for prayers at the Prophet's Mosque, Umrah and other tours are according to the specified schedule.
8. Sports facilities provided by the university.
