- Deadline for submitting an online application and uploading mandatory documents is Feb. 14, 2018.
- Deadline for recommendation letters to be received via the online recommendation system is Feb. 21, 2018.
Financial Benefits
Saudi graduate students with a GPA of 3.00 and above on a scale of 4.00 can be admitted as Full-Time MS or PhD students. Similarly, Research Assistantship for Master students and Lectureship for Ph.D. students are available for all outstanding graduate students who demonstrate exceptional qualifications and performance. Research Assistants and Lecturers-B expected to spend up to 50% of their time supporting teaching and research activities of the university, with the other 50% devoted to their respective graduate programs. They receive the following benefits:
Saudi graduate students with a GPA of 3.00 and above on a scale of 4.00 can be admitted as Full-Time MS or PhD students. Mandatory documents for application (without which application will not be processed)
1. Copy of identification (National ID for Saudi nationals / Passport for international applicants / Iqama for residents of Saudi Arabia).
2. Complete official transcripts for BS degree and MS degree (if applying to PhD).
3. Statement-of-Purpose (a one-page essay focusing on career and research goals).
4. Recommendation Letters from 3 Professors through the online recommendation system after submitting the online application.
5. GMAT scores for MBA program (for international applicants).
Other supporting documents (needed for final admission decision)
1. Certificates for BS degree and MS degree (if applying to PhD).
2. TOEFL score (min. is 68 iBT for MS and 79 iBT for PhD). IELTS is also acceptable at KFUPM. The minimum required score from applicants for Master Programs is 6.0 and 6.5 for Doctoral programs.
3. Acceptable GRE General score (min. Quant. is 156, min. Analytical is 4.0).
4. Upon approval, original/certified copies of degree certificate(s) and transcript(s) are to be sent through postal mail.

Applicants to Ph.D. Computer Science & Engineering are hereby informed that this program will be considered for Ph.D. Computer Science. Those interested in the Engineering Stream may choose Ph.D. Computer Engineering in the application.
**Exec. MBA, Supply Chain Management and Oil & Gas Surface Facilities are corporate/ self sponsored programs only for local students. These are not included in online application and require special funding from applicant's corporates or through self-funding. The minimum requirements for possible admission in Master programs in engineering or sciences are as below:
1. A four-year Bachelor’s (B.S.) Degree in engineering or science from a recognized institution with a major in the proposed field or evidence of suitable background for entering the proposed field.
2. A Grade-Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent, and a GPA of 3.00 in the subject of the major field. Official transcripts and degree certificates are required for final admission.
3. Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score of 520 (PBT), 190 (CBT) or 68 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies (KFUPM code is 0868). IELTS is also acceptable (min 6.0).
4. Acceptable General Graduate Record Examination (GRE), which should also be reported directly (KFUPM code is 0868). (Minimum required GRE score is Quantitative: 156, Analytical: 4.0 and Verbal:143)
5. At least three letters of recommendation from the faculty who taught the applicant university-level courses. [to be submitted through the online recommendation system]
6. Satisfactorily meeting any additional departmental or university admission requirements.
Note:
Satisfying the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission into the program as final admission is subject to an evaluation of the whole application, and the capacity of individual programs.
Admission Requirement for Master Programs in Business Administration
The minimum requirements for possible admission as a regular graduate student in a Master program in Business Administration are as follows:
1. A four-year Bachelor’s (B.A., B.S. or B.E.) Degree in business, engineering or sciences fields from a recognized institution.
2. A Grade-Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.0 or equivalent. Official transcripts and degree certificates are required for final admission.
3. Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score of 520 (PBT), 190 (CBT) or 68 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies (KFUPM code is 0868). IELTS is also acceptable (min 6.0).
4. Completion of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) with a minimum score of 450. The GMAT scores must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies (KFUPM code for GMAT is 0868).
5. At least three letters of recommendation from the faculty who taught the applicant undergraduate courses. [to be submitted through the online recommendation system]
6. At least one course in college level calculus which covers both differentiation and integration subjects.
7. A working knowledge of computers as evidenced by at least one course in that area (e.g. data processing, programming, information systems, etc.)
8. At least one-year of full-time work experience. This requirement may be waived for graduate assistants, research assistants, and applicants with exceptional academic records. For Executive MBA program, a minimum experience of 8 years, including 3 years in mid or upper level managerial position.
9. Satisfactorily meeting any additional departmental or university admission requirements.

Satisfying the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission into the program as final admission is subject to an evaluation of the whole application, and the capacity of individual programs.

The minimum requirements for possible admission to the Ph.D. Programs as a regular graduate student in engineering or sciences are as follows:
1. An M.S. degree in engineering or science from an institution whose graduate programs are equivalent to those of (KFUPM), with a major in the proposed field or evidence of suitable background for entering the proposed field.
2. A minimum GPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent in both the B.S. and M.S. degrees. Official transcripts and degree certificates are required for admission.
3. Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score for MS admission of 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT) or 79 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies.The KFUPM code is 0868.IELTS is also acceptable [min 6.5]
4. Completion of General Graduate Record Examination (GRE) with acceptable score.
5. At least three letters of recommendation from the faculty who taught the applicant graduate courses.
