The Postgraduate Office of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia through its official website announced the opening of scholarship registration for students who wish to continue their studies at KFUPM for the fall semesters of the 2022-2023 academic year from December 15, 2021, to January 22, 2022. The deadline for filling out the online recommendations form is January 29, 2021. For spring semester will be open from August 15, 2022, to September 4, 2022, with recommendations deadline on September 11, 2022.

According to the release of the QS World University Rankings, in 2021, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals is ranked 186 out of all universities in the world and is ranked 4th campus in the Arab Region. This campus is open to men and women.

Financial Benefits
Saudi graduate students with a GPA of 3.00 and above on a scale of 4.00 can be admitted as Full-Time MS or Ph.D. students. Similarly, Research Assistantship for Master students and Lectureship for Ph.D. students are available for all outstanding graduate students who demonstrate exceptional qualifications and performance. Research Assistants and Lecturers-B expected to spend up to 50% of their time supporting teaching and research activities of the university, with the other 50% devoted to their respective graduate programs. They receive the following benefits:

- A monthly stipend to cover living expenses.
- Free furnished air-conditioned bachelor housing.
- Essential medical care.
- Free textbooks.
- Subsidized meals in the University cafeteria.
- A chance to participate along with the University faculty in the Research and Book writing
- Projects funded by the University.
- A prepaid air passage for initial travel to Dammam at the start of the contract, and a return ticket after he completed the Degree (for RA and Lecturers-B).

Mandatory documents for application (without which application will not be processed)
1. Copy of identification (National ID for Saudi nationals / Passport for international applicants / Iqama for residents of Saudi Arabia).
2. Complete official transcripts for BS degree and MS degree (if applying to PhD).
3. Statement of Purpose (a one-page essay focusing on career and research goals).
4. Recommendation Letters from 3 Professors through the online recommendation system after submitting the online application.
5. CV mentioning briefly education and work experience.
6. Color Photograph with White Background.
Other supporting documents (needed for final admission decision)
1. Certificates for BS degree and MS degree (if applying to PhD).
2a. TOEFL score minimum for Masters 520 (PBT), 190 (CBT) or 68 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies (KFUPM code is 0868). IELTS is also acceptable (min 6.0).
2b. Minimum score for PhD 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT) or 79 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies. The KFUPM code is 0868. IELTS is also acceptable (min 6.5).
3. Acceptable GRE General score (min. Quantitative is 156, Analytical: 4.0 and Verbal: 143).
4. Upon approval, original/certified copies of degree certificate(s) and transcript(s) are to be sent through postal mail.
